The STX4500 gives you more options with a single tool. The 45cm line trimmer head will help to tidy up spaces your mower may not be able to reach, such as close to tree trunks, flower beds, bushes and fences, while the optional 3 sided cutting blade allows you the option of using the machine as a 30cm brush cutter, that will cut through dense vegetation. This tool can also be used with the RTX2300 rotocut attachment, which is suitable for cutting on hard surfaces such as pavement without damage.
The STX400 features a 45cm line trimmer cutting width, perfectly suited for medium to larger gardens, and is built with a bump feed head & a light but strong carbon fibre shaft that won't bend or lose shape over time, as well as keeping vibration levels to a minimum.
The efficient and powerful brushless motor allows you longer run times, and the soft-start function of the motor means extended life, plus a smoother experience when firing up the tool. The speed is controlled by a variable speed trigger, allowing you to adjust the speed as you require.
The STX4500 is designed to be powered by EGO’s unique patented 56V ARC Lithium™ batteries, which boast the outdoor tool industry’s highest energy capacity in a portable battery, as well as lasting longer & charging more quickly. Each battery is interchangeable across the entire EGO cordless range.
When you’re up against more stubborn, overgrown, or thicker areas, the variable speed control means you can ramp up the power to slice them away with ease. The free-rotating bump cap lets you rest the cutting head on the ground without being worn away, making purchasing replacements a thing of the past.
The Ego STX4500 includes an adjustable loop handle for balanced and comfortable operation, as well as a 2.7mm nylon twist line & features an anti-clockwise cutting rotation. A plastic guard is fitted on the head to protect the user from debris which will be stirred up during use.
This is a bare unit & is supplied without battery and charger.

Ego are so confident in the performance of their tools that this product carries a full five year domestic use warranty when you register here within 30 days of purchase. This warranty only covers defects arising under normal usage and does not cover any malfunction, failure or defect resulting from misuse, abuse (including overloading of the product beyond capacity and excessive exposure to water or rain), accidents, modification, alteration, neglect or lack of proper installation and improper maintenance or storage. This warranty will also not cover parts or consumable accessories subject to wear & tear during use. Inclusive batteries are covered by a 3 year warranty when the machine is registered with Ego within 30 days of purchase.
How the warranty works: If you have a problem with the machine during the first 28 days, please report the issue to Cleanstore through your account and we will replace your product by return. After this period the warranty is undertaken by Ego & as such you will need to contact the manufacturer directly to report a warranty issue.
