My last brush lasted about 10 years with no wear bristle loss until the apprentice lost it.. so had to buy the same to keep him busy.

I second that. The ability to use gently or harshly - because the bristles are angled forward - means you have about three brushes in one. And it gets into all the corners. I bought mine in 2006 (I know the purchase date box says 2009, but it doesn't go any earlier) and even with fairly hard daily use, it still works as well as the day I bought it. It is not quite the same cosmetically (the name has almost worn off) but when it works as well as it does, who cares?

Bought in 2006 and had daily moderate use since then. Very effective, very hardwearing, good at getting into corners, and becuase the bristles are angled forward, it can be used quite harshly or very gently, depending on direction of sweep. It is now 8 years old and faultless. Value for money? about £6 for 8 years = about one fifth of a penny per day. Beat that!
