Although I’m using this in a domestic house on porcelain tiles , it is a very large area so it would help if I had 2 sets of rollers as they do pick up ‘fluff’ need to be changed in order to do a good job. I will be ordering an extra set. I’m very pleased with my purchase.

Finally I can throw out my Mop and Bucket. This is brilliant it works like a buffer, it gets rid of anything your floor can throw at it. I had tile adhesive on my bathroom floor (Clumsy tiler)I tried scrubbing scrapping everything to get rid of it, I thought I would have to get a new floor. Well I needn't have worried because this beauty got it up no problem. Ive got slate tiles in my Kitchen, Im a bit ashamed in saying this but when I used the FC 5 on it, it has come up like new the water container was like sludge. The build up over the years of me mopping was not helping my floor. One thing I will say it is very powerful it has actually pulled up a bit of my grout. Which is not a bad thing it shows just how good it is. I do hope karcher come up with a carpet cleaner. I would recommend this to anyone, it is so easy to use and assemble. And it uses the smallest amount of product. It is a definite win win.

Easy to set up and use, this cleaner does the floors in 40 minutes instead of the two hours plus that it takes using a mop and bucket. The cleaner is light, easy to control and efficient. The only downside? My dog hates it and is determined to kill it :-)

Delivered on time this product is proving to be ideal having just had wooden flooring laid down in the lounge.

I was interested in trying the Karcher FC5 hard floor cleaner for several reasons: we are getting a puppy soon and I will need to wash our hard floors daily to keep them clean free of doggy smells, I have a large tiled area to cover (a large open plan kitchen, dining room and lounge) so I need to have it clean and dry quickly. I have chronic pain and fatigue so the easier faster the cleaning is the better! Set up of the FC5 is pretty easy, once it's out of the box you click the handle in to the body of the machine and dock it in the stand provided. You then remove and fill the clean water tank, add your cleaning solution put the tank back. Pour about a cup of water in the docking stand to dampen the rollers, turn it on for 5 seconds to wet the rollers and you are ready to go. I can clean my hall, kitchen and dining room in under 10 minutes. The floor is left clean with only very light streaks of water. The floor is left dry enough for my cat to walk across it and it stays unmarked (usually there are paw prints left behind). Drying time was about 10 minutes. Comparing the end result to mopping the floor it is drier and the grout appears to be cleaner - see my before and after photos. Once dry the floor is streak free. I can clean the kitchen, dining room and lounge with one tank of clean water. I was concerned that the weight of the FC5 might be too much for me to lift and manoevre due to my pain and fatigue but I found it manageable. The FC5 glides across the floor so you don't take the full weight of it and the handy stand means I can clean an area, take a break and continue later. I have given a demonstration to a few friends and they all want one now. Overall I am really impressed, I think I'm going to throw out my mop and bucket!

After suffering with flu and doing no house work for pretty much two weeks and having 10 cats you can only imagine the state of my floors, they were terrible and I was too ashamed to let anyone come into my house, well now I am all better and was finally able to try out my new karcher floor cleaner and what a difference it has made, the floors were perfect within a few minutes and any water that was left on the floor was very minimal and dried up very quickly. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone that has hard flooring within their home, I am truly impressed at how good this product is and I will be continuing to use this floor cleaner for a very long time, as with other karcher products I have had it is very well built so I am sure this will be around my house for many years to come.

I wanted this product to save time cleaning my laminate flooring. This machine is quite capable of vacuuming and cleaning laminate flooring but only if this machine is used regularly. Picks up pet hair adequately. I did notice the floors looked much cleaner than mopping due to the Smart Roller technology. The floors appeared to be smear free. Rollers easily cleaned but do need to be air-dried. I would recommend this product without hesitation if you are prepared to use regularly.

The Karcher FC5 arrived in a bright colourful box and was well packed. It was very easy to assemble and was ready to clean my floors within minutes. The instructions are very easy to follow and the cleaning power is fantastic. The FC5 is quite heavy but once the roller is in action it easily glide across all your hard floors. Very fast and effective. Picked up so much dirt the results were simpy unbelievable. Can't wait to use it again. After using for over a week it has saved me hours golf cleaning. Due to the FC5 hovering, cleaning and buffering it does 3 jobs in 1, plus the rollers are so easy to remove and clean. The floor is ready to walk on in 2 minutes which is ideal with a young family and the rollers glide so easily over different floors around the house. The water tank is small and easy to fill, however covers a very large area. Fantastic product 5 stars.

My first impressions of the FC5 are most certainly positive, it came well packaged and was easy to assemble. The device has three interlocking pieces all of which were easy enough to connect and disconnect. Instructions were easy enough to follow, primarily a visual guide so there is not much to read into, so you can get set up and started in no time. When pouring water into the stand from which the FC5 rests I recommend if it is the first time getting use of the product to allow the water to be soaked into the rollers otherwise they will struggle to move with ease. Using the product is satisfying, you don't feel like it is a chore to clean, the FC5 flows across the surface of the floor once the rollers are in motion, it is also effortless to maneuver due to the ergonomics of the handle and not being too heavy in hand. So far the FC5 has left me impressed to say the least. After using the FC5 throughout the week I must say that it has made cleaning the kitchen a whole lot easier and less time consuming than doing it with a conventional mop, I can definitely recommend the FC5 to anyone one wants to clean their floors in the quickest manner possible. The two water reservoirs, are both easy to clean after use. Overall the FC5 is accessible to all, if I was to say a negative it would just be a nitpick but it would involve the speed of which the product flows as if you are not too careful it can just run away with you, then again this is just a slight nitpick and not everyone will feel the same about this as that acceleration contributes to the speed of which it can clean.

As an owner of a new build house, that has high gloss floor tiles across the entire ground floor (the wifes' choice!), and as a modern man, who takes his fair share of the chores... mine being the flooring for the house, and my wife, the washing and ironing... I have been contemplating learning the washing machine, and swapping chores! I have been through no end of potions, fluids, steamers and mops, sore knees, all to no avail in keeping the floors bright and sparkling. Along come the Insiders, and the Karcher FC5. Having used the brilliant Window Vacuum, and Pressure washers for the patio and cars, i knew the build and quality would be fantastic. Simple to put together, the handle simply clicks into place, a quick fill of the Detergent bottle with Water, and only a cap of the supplied detergent, a "wetting" of the rollers in the supplied stand, and I was off. Really easy to use, no need to hover the floor first, and quick drying shiny floors!. Before i knew it, i had finished the entire downstairs, and realised that from opening the box, to completion, it had been 45 mins. I normally spend at least an hour more!. Great product, superb results, and the wife can rest assured that i will not be shrinking, or turning white things a different colour for some time to come. Thank you Karcher

I must say I was surprised at how heavy the Karcher cleaner is and coupled with its power, it took a bit of practice getting used to it. But it was very efficient. It didn't manage to get all my pets fur up but the floor was clean and only damp after use. I used it on all types of hard floor safely. Update: I do not think I have saved time using the Karcher. I normally use a cordless hoover and mop and bucket. This can get all the bits and pet hair up better. I think my dogs fur would clog up the Karcher. It didn't manage to get all the per fur (I do have 3 husky crosses) and there were still little bits and crumbs. I like to go over the floor a few times and the floor wasn't dry in 2 minutes but it was only damp. I find the Karcher moves effortlessly on different surfaces. The rollers are powerful to do this easily. Removing and placing the water tanks is easy to do once you realise how.

So I have a flat with a number of different surfaces so was looking forwards to trying this product. First impressions were very good. I’ve used a Karcher pressure washer previously and so I was expecting excellent build quality which I found. The cleaner is smart looking, easy to put together from the box and feels sturdy and up to the task I disagree with other reviewers that the cleaner is heavy – I thought that it felt a good weight in the hand and was easy to manoeuvre around when in use. When it’s on it pulls itself along so it makes it even easier. I used it in both my main rooms (laminate flooring) and also by bathrooms (tiled flooring) and it did a great job in both. The cable is very long, so I didnt have to keep plugging it in again which was handy as I do with my vacuum. One of the things I was dubious about was the ability to clean and vacuum at the same time. It does work but it your floor is very dusty, I would recommend a vacuum first as it will make for a better overall clean. The cleaner does do what it says though, it sucks up the dirty water and stores this in a different compartment which is easily removable and easily cleaned, which I liked. My floor was a lot dirtier than I expected!! It comes with a storage bracket so when not in use I simply stored it in the bracket under my stairs which was handy as otherwise it would’ve been rolling around with all my other products. Overall I would say that the FC5 does a very good job of cleaning floors, but you do have to make regular use of it to account for the price. I would only recommend this to people with dogschildren or multiple hard floors.

Brilliant floor cleaner. Using it on wood, vinyl and tiled floor and its a breeze to use. I dont normally like cleaning the floor but it takes 30 seconds to set up and its off around the house cleaning as I go. Its really well built, feels a bit heavy until its spinning when it just slides around the floor. Thoroughly recommended 5*

I must admit that the Karcher FC5 is a great piece of kit. Although I was initially sceptical on how well it would work, the FC5 exceeded my expectations. I have hard flooring in all rooms downstairs - laminate flooring in the lounge and dining room, ceramic tiles in the kitchen and conservatory and vinyl in the rest room, so it was a no brainer to get the Karcher FC5 for my cleaning requirements. The main reason for giving the FC5 a bash, was the fact that the FC5 is a 2-in-1 as the cleaner can vacuum and wash the floor all at the same time. I do all the cleaning around the house, and as we have a cross Jack RusselShih Tzu which drops a lot of fur, I typically vacuum the house 2 to 3 times per week, and although the floors need mopping regularly, I don’t always get around to it. So, the FC5 was perfect, as it does both jobs at once. And it does a great job at that! Note that the vacuum cleaner will only pick up pet hair and other ‘fine’ dirt. The FC5 has a dual tank system (one for clean water, and one for the dirty waste water) which is real easy to use. The cleaning head of the FC5 has a flexible hinge so can get into those hard to get locations and the weight of the cleaner is ideal – not too heavy, but heavy enough to wash the floor with the microfiber rollers (which can also be washed in the washing machine). Overall, the Karcher FC5 is brilliant product and I would without a doubt, recommend this floor cleaner.

Wow, I love, love, love! The FC5 Hard Floor cleaner is amazing. My whole house has hard floors, I used to dread hoovering and mopping. Not anymore, I can't express quick and easy the FC5 is to use. Firstly, the cleaner is heavier than my hoover, but not too heavy that I struggle to carry upstairs. The clean water tank is enough to do my whole house, this is easy to remove and filled with tap water. The FC5 cleans right up to the edges of rooms and picks up the dirt nicely. My floors dry quickly and without any smears. Emptying the tank is easy to do and you see all the dirt and bits that the FC5 has picked up. Lastly, the lead is long and you do not need to keep unplugging and re-plugging in each room. I would recommend the FC5 to anyone who has hard floors.

The first thing that strikes you is the quality, it’s a really hefty solid design. I was surprised at how it seems to take off by itself, some power! Cleans my Amtico brilliantly, I was so shocked at how filthy the water was...even if you think your floors are spotless it shows that they might not be! Only negative so far is the noise, it sounds like a jet washer.

Having just received my Karcher FC5 I was excited to get it open. From the minute I opened the box you could see that this is a quality , well made product. I took the machine from the packaging and it was extremely easy to assemble with the arm control slotting and clicking into place. The resevoir was easy to remove and the instructions were very easy to follow. The machine comes with a small bottle of detergent allowing the user to get straight down to cleaning with it . A capful of detergent into the resevoir and the resevoir is clipped back into place and you are very nearly ready to go. There is also a docking tray in the box which allows you not only to dock your machine but also to rinse your rollers after use. Before first use you must place the machine in a small amount of water in the docking tray and turn on for ten seconds which allows the rollers to get hydrated. Now I am ready to go and I decide to do my kitchen floor first. I am very impressed as tbis machine has a lot of power and although quite heavy and robust is an absolute doddle to use as the rollers pull it seemlessly across the floor vacuming and washing as it goes. And the end result is a great clean floor. I am impressed.

After unpacking and assembling the FC5 I thought it was a little on the heavy side,But after using it I realised it needed to be this heavy so the smart rollers make good contact with the floor. It really does a good job at cleaning and after a minute or two found it quite easy to handle. I was very surprised how far a tank of water went,it lasted for the whole of the lounge and kitchen.The dry in two minutes is a little optimistic it took close on ten minutes to dry fully. The vacuuming function is really handy as it cut my floor cleaning time in half. All in all not a bad little machine,i would recommend.

Hi there, Been using the Karcher FC5 for a while already since this campaign started and i found something i already knew . Karcher is a professional brand. Well..box arrived in good conditions,assembling was a straightforward process. Few things that worth mentioning are: 1. Uses extremely less water compared to the classic mopping 2. Its a light tool,anyone can use it 3.Maintaining is easiest ever. Fill the tank ,empty the tank,wash the roles 4. Results are remarkable,especially on wooden floors where we don't want much water left on the floor 5. Time means money. I got clean floors in shortest time possible ( takes 2 minutes to dry, if exposed to a bit of airflow ,even faster) Karcher FC5 should not be missing from any household . My family friends already looking to buy one. I recommend this product with all my hearth.

This is the best floor cleaner I have ever used. It makes my floors all clean and shiny with very little effort. I actually now enjoy cleaning the floors before it was a chore. I look for any excuse to get the ‘yellow beast’ out. It was very simple to put together the handle just clicked into place. The diagram instructions were easy to follow. You just fill the tank with water and your off. When you have shiny floors you just have the rear tank to empty with all the crumbs you’ve collected and dirty water. It has a big thumbs up from me . After using this for a few weeks on a almost daily basis I would still recommend. It’s great for getting the muddy cat paws and muddy feet from the children up also the crumbs they leave from eating. It’s saves me a lot of time cleaning just having to get the 1 machine out to do both jobs

This is an excellent new product. The build quality is excellent. Leaves floors clean and dry with no smears. No other product is like it. Take the work out of cleaning.

I recently got the FC5. To be true I did not know what to expect from a Floor Cleaner. I have hard sealed Laminate Flooring. It is a bit annoying to bring down the vacuum cleaner and later dry mop the floor. This is particular more difficult when we have children around the house. We were always thinking to get something that could vacuum clean and kind of mop the floor. We came across FC5 and decided to give a try. At first, it felt strange to take the machine and start cleaning. It felt we were forgetting to first sweep or vacuum. Then we got used to it. I have to say it surprised me. The 400ml of water storage of clean water allowed me to clean, living room, dining room and kitchen easily. The water suction was good and it will surprise you with the amount of dirty water it collects! Did not know my floor was that dirty! It took a little longer to dry than the 2 minutes as it mentions and it did not collect bigger particles from the floor like my child’s dry pieces of modelling dough. We hate dust in our house because of allergy, and for my surprise it collected it all. I tried by actually passing my finger on the floor once dried. Amazing. We found that giving a rough sweep on the floor where bigger particles were. It then left spot on. The machine is not too heavy but it took us longer to adjust, it does feel like it pulls you and you need to keep hold of it. I guess with any machine of this kind. I am overall very happy with FC5 and I would definitely recommend it to anyone with hard flooring.

Having got a cordless vacuum and a spray floor mop to clean the floors seems such a long and old fashioned way of doing things. I write this review from my wifes pint of view as she is the one I have to convince or the product does! Yesterday not so sure, but then i showed her the dirty water after she had mopped the floors the traditional way - mmm was the response. Came home today I love it , ive done all the floors and it was quick and they dried quickly. Others have commented on the build quality and its solid engineering which will give you faith. The stand that doubles as a cleaning mechanism is inspired, only downside is that its heavy not light but not when in use though as it powers along. Well down yellow people another class product worthy of your name and thanks insiders.

I usually hate cleaning floors, it takes so much effort. However using the Karcher FC5, the time I've saved is unbelievable. The device itself was initially heavier than expected. This wasn't a problem however, as the cleaner effortlessly glides across the floor. The product has left my floors clean and shiny in record time and I was shocked at how dirty my floors actually were when I emptied the tank. We are currently tiling our bathroom and the Karcher effortlessly sucked up dust and debris whilst cleaning the floor. The Karcher also picks up Cat and Dog fur with ease, and is perfect for not only in depth cleaning but for a quick clean up of muddy footprints or spills. Cleaning the product couldn't be simpler, the tanks easily click in and out and there's not many pieces, so it's incredibly easy. The Karcher FC5's sleek design also means that when in its docking station it fits perfectly in my cupboard, so great storage wise.

First of all I have to say I really like this karcher hard floor washer and I would recommend it. I was very excited about the idea of making cleaning much faster and easier, about vacuuming and moping at the same time. I had big hopes and expected a lot. The set up was very easy, very straightforward, using it is very simple. I had a look at users manual but everything is quite clear even without it, I only had to attach the handle when it was delivered and it was ready to go. Water tanks are very easy to remove, fill, empty, clean, all of that is very easily done. It moves by itself just needs to be held up and directed. It was said that it cannot pick up anything bigger but from my experience it does pick up some smaller pieces of cat food, cat litter, things like that. And it does great with dust and cat’s hair, there’s always a pile of hair in the dirty water tank. You might still need to use a regular vacuum cleaner from time to time or sweep the floor because it cannot pick up something bigger really. The cord is too short for my liking, it’s quite annoying that I have to plug and unplug it a few times every time I clean, it has to be longer or it needs to go cordless. Also it would be great if it could vacuum just about anything but I would imagine it’s not very realistic having in my what kind of cleaner it is. It cannot reach that well under the furniture. And a spare set of rollers might be useful but they last long I imagine so not an issue. But it does clean well, does a splendid job, the amount of cat hair it picks up is unbelievable, dust also, our floors are so much cleaner now, I used a spin mop before and a steam mop and this karcher machine cleans many times better and also the floor dries in no time. Our all downstairs are hard floored, we have tiles and laminate and it cleans both very well. I am happy with it and don’t want to part with it.

I have been using the Karcher FC5 floor cleaner for a couple of weeks, and so far have been very impressed with its cleaning power. The unit itself is solidly built, and weighs roughly the same as an average upright vacuum cleaner. However, with its twin motorised rollers propelling the unit forward, only minimal steering is required to manoeuvre the FC5 around the floor when cleaning. Also, as it has a pivoting head, negotiating around obstacles like table legs or corners is effortless. The low profile of the cleaning head means it fits easily under the kitchen units right up to the kickboards. When it comes to the cleaning performance, it's the best floor cleaner I've ever owned. We have two young daughters and a cockapoo puppy, all of which love playing in the garden, which invariably means they are tracking dirt into the home, meaning the floors need almost daily cleaning. As a test, I cleaned the floor with our popular brand of steam cleaner then cleaned again using the FC5. I was amazed at how dirty the water was after washing the "clean" floor, and how little water was needed to do the job. I didn't sweep before the initial clean, and despite the floor being damp from the steam cleaning, the FC5 did a decent job of vacuuming up the smaller debris. It took me approximately 4 minutes to vacuumclean the kitchen floor, and together with the 3 minutes drying time, the whole "chore" including filling and emptying the tanks, took less than 10 minutes. A big timesaver is that it can clean multiple hard floor surfaces using the same multipurpose detergent. I can clean the porcelain kitchen tiles then move seamlessly into the hallway to clean the wooden floor. Plus, with the FC5 having a very long power cord (7m) I don't even need to switch power outlet. The only inconvenience of the FC5 is the weight compared to a steam cleaner, and the storage space needed given it is vacuum cleaner sized. However, if you have the storage space, the cleaning results from the Karcher FC5 are more than worth it. Highly recommended

I was over the moon to be chosen to test the Karcher FC5, having most of the floors, especially the ground floor of our house with hard floors and finding the whole business of vacuuming first before mopping to clean them an absolute chore. The large box duly arrived and I looked forward to giving it a trial.. Assembling was easy and setting it up for use was child's play. The quick instructions were clear and the water container was easy to take off. I decided to put warm tap water in the tank with a few drops of the detergent and agitate slightly to mix. I think the detergent bottle should come with a small nozzle as putting in a few drops was not easy. I liked the stand, a simple idea which works and makes the appliance easy to store, plus easy to fill with water and rotate the rollers in ready for use. First impression: streamlined so takes up little room, good cord length which is easy to coil, very solid and sturdy, basically a smart piece of kit in the Karcher colours. Using it was easy-peasy as the motor pulls it along and the weightsuction keeps it in constant contact to the floor, great cleaning power. The onoff button was very stiff and I didn't realise that if you pressed it hard, it would stay on. Of course once I discovered this half-way through doing the kitchen floor which is ceramic tiled the job became even easier. The rollers didn't quite go up as close to the edges or if they did, they didn't get the floor as clean there. I also noticed that if I went horizontally across the floor the rollers caught on the grout lines or uneven tiles so it was obviously best to follow the line of the ceramic planks and grout lines. Cord length was good and I did the whole of the kitchen using about a third of the clean water. Another good test was our cat has a habit of taking her food from her bowl and eating it off the floor, so there is a often a congealed mess of cat food left behind where she has finished which normally needs a good scrub to remove, It took about 5 seconds of going over it back and forth to clear it completely with no sticky residue left behind. Total drying time was more like 8 minutes, this was with the kitchen being warm and sunny. I also did the white tissue paper test which because I keep the floor relatively clean, didn't show up much difference, however emptying the dirty water container was a revelation. Absolutely brilliant, finding out that what the Karcher FC5 is doing is cleaning up the dirt you CANNOT see!

I've just tried the Karcher FC5 for the first time today so here are my initial thoughts... I'm sure it would save you time when it comes to vacuuming and washing the floor with some practice. The first trot out for any new gadget will always take some getting used to. The machine itself is very well put together but it is heavy. The machine washable SmartRollers have been very effective at the cleaning process. Evident in the dirty water tank when emptying! Just thinking about all that dirty water going back onto the floor with a mop and bucket.... YUK! We have two Labradors and a cat who seem to malt continuously but the FC5 had no problem with this until it came to a second pass over the entire floor (our floor area is around 40sq metres!) A quick check in the manual lead us to unclogging the suction head which was effortless and quite eye opening considering how much dog hair it had already procured! Despite it's heavy weight, the FC5 is a powerful machine and easy to manoeuvre due to the self propelling rollers. Agile around corners and tight into the skirting boards. The initial filling process by removal of the clean water tank was OK and was stiff but this is to be expected for a brand new out of the box product. I'm sure as the FC5 gets more use the process will become easier. Even after just a single use my number one tip would be is to make sure all the parts are rinsed with clean water before putting it away until next time, especially if you have animals. All in all, so far I am happy with the Karcher FC5 and look forward to it's next outing!
