Hosepipe Bans
Use a pressure washer during hosepipe bans
The use of pressure washers is still allowed during a hosepipe ban. You MAY still use a pressure washer to clean a patio, pathway or driveway, wash down garden furniture, clean buildings or conservatories and to maintain standards of animal husbandry. The use of pressure washers for commercial purposes is not affected by a domestic hosepipe ban. You are only specifically banned from using a pressure washer or hosepipe to wash your car or water your garden.
A pressure washer uses on average 40% of the water that a hosepipe uses
Please use water responsibly, and only where necessary, at all times. By using a domestic pressure washer you use up to 60% less water than a garden hose. And because water is applied at pressure it cleans more efficiently and effectively, saving you time and even more water.
Use a pressure washer without mains water
Kärcher pressure washers can draw water from a static water supply, such as a water butt, bucket, pond. The
suction hose and filter kit is required to feed your pressure washer with its water source. It has a filter to remove any unwanted particles.
How does a hosepipe ban affect me?
The hosepipe ban is effective predominately in the South East of England. The exact rules for water usage during a hosepipe ban may vary, please check with your local water authority.
